Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association (LGAA) announces a special run-off candidate forum to be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 7pm.  The event is free, open to the public and will be held at Santa Fe College in Building E Auditorium.

“LGAA believes that with such a crowded field in the upcoming Gainesville City elections that a Run-Off is inevitable “says President Scott Costello.  “Our organization is honored to provide a quality forum for city commission candidates during the runoff period”, Costello adds.

The forum will be moderated by Richard Drake from WUFT/WJUF-FM and will be recorded for re-broadcast at a later date.

A “Run-Off” is a follow-up election held to determine a winner if no candidate receives a majority of the votes.  Most Run-Off Elections are held for city races two to three weeks after the original election.

LGAA fosters, maintains and sustains community leadership through programming, support and networking for Leadership Gainesville graduates and through community partnerships.
