Kids’ Start Fair - an annual LGAA tradition
Sponsored by your Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association (LGAA) in cooperation with the School Board of Alachua County, the annual Kids’ Start Fair (KSF) takes place each August at the O’Connell Center.
Started in 1995 as a class project of LG22, the KSF has helped 1000’s of kinder-garten-aged Alachua County Head Start graduates and at risk children get their
school careers off on the right foot. Free backpacks, clothing, school supplies, health screenings, entertainment, GPD K-9 demonstrations, music, food and drinks are all part of the Kids’ Start Fair, which has evolved into a regional event honored by the Florida Head Start Association with a Florida
District Merit Award.
The fifteenth annual Kids’ Start Fair (KSF) was Saturday, August 14th and hosted over 2,500 people at Sante Fe College Gymnasium. Click here for the news article.
