LGAA Committees
Committees are the backbone of LGAA, and the overall organization's effectiveness is a direct result of our committees' work. Committee meetings are open to all LGAA members. If you have an idea, question, or simply want to get involved, committees should be your first stop.
Advisory Board
LGAA’s Council of Advisors consists of dedicated LGAA members who offer guidance, advice and leadership in support of the LGAA Board and their mission. LGAA Council of Advisors attend quarterly meetings with the LGAA Board, serve as liaison to individual LG Classes to inspire participation, support and communication, participate in LGAA events, use their influence to help LGAA acquire community support as needed. Community Relations
Community Relations lead's LGAA's efforts to serve the community by acting as an incubator for LG class projects; facilitating and reviewing all LGAA grants and scholarships; documenting all class projects, LGAA community events, and LGAA events; & supporting LGAA in all communty efforts. Social Committee
LGAA hosts periodic socials and events to help alumni reconnect and network. These events can include morning and evening activities. For more information, contact Marjorie Speer (32).

Membership & Communications
The Membership Committee is responsible for communication and outreach to our current and past members of LGAA. The goal of the committee is to engage our current members and to encourage members to renew memberships. In addition the committee focuses on logistics and administration of the organization. Power Lunch
The “Power Lunch” is a series of lunch forums to find innovative solutions to pertinent issues facing our community. This forum is an interactive working session that explores the top topics concerning LGAA members. It is the mission of the series to provide information, opportunities for further involvement, as well as support for 'task forces' that may be formed by attendees of the luncheon. The Power Lunch Committee may be called upon to plan and coordinate additional programming as the need arises. For more information, contact

Tiger Bay
Tiger Bay is a fully interactive luncheon where members and their guests can ask speakers about their work, opinions or anything of interest. Members of the media are not allowed in the meeting for the purpose of reporting. For more information, contact Debby Knopf (18) or Chuck Clemons (18).
